CZ shares investment experience in the new book: Founders who focus on fundamentals, make long-term bets, and invest with a sense of purpose
Comparing the news, CZ posted an article saying that they would share their investment experience on the Reachme platform: “I stay away from fancy models. I never buy ideas. Ideas are worth nothing. Execution is the key. Here's something I've written before: My investment philosophy includes three key principles:
1. Focus on fundamentals: Forget those fancy business models. Instead, focus on the essence: product, user growth, revenue/profit, and team strength;
2. Long-term betting, start and hold early: Early adopters usually get a disproportionate return. There will be many failures along the way, but a few successes will be enough to make up for them. The best way is to hold the investment for a long time, as major successes like Amazon or Google develop over time. Setbacks and brief failures, such as Terra, are all part of the journey;
3. Invest in founders with a sense of mission: Invest in founders and teams with a vision beyond profit. Great companies are born out of a mission-driven mindset, because founders who focus on money tend to falter after a moderate level of success. Those committed to greater causes will create more sustainable and impactful businesses.”
