Comparing news, Farcaster co-founder Dan Romero (who previously joined Tempo) wrote an article clarifying five myths about MPP. Dan said that MPP is not only applicable to Tempo; the agreement is unrelated to payment methods, supports cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies and any blockchain. It has now been extended to the Bitcoin Lightning Network (Bitcoin Lightning) and has a draft Solana extension.

In terms of cost of use, MPP itself has no inherent costs; the exact cost depends on the blockchain or fiat channel used; in terms of openness, MPP is simple and expandable in design, and has now been submitted to the IETF as a web standard.

Additionally, MPP supports both pay-per-request and session-based (Sessions) models, which are suitable for continuous micropayments requiring API speed; Dan also emphasized that MPP separates secure HTTP communication from payment tracks, and does not rely on specific smart wallet implementations or stablecoins.
