According to FinanceFeeds, an attempted kidnapping of the wife of Sebastien Borget, the co-founder and chief operating officer of The Sandbox, occurred in Villenois, Seine-et-Marne, France. Five masked criminals, disguised as couriers, broke into the house and tried to force them into the fleeing vehicle, but were defeated when nearby residents responded promptly to calls for help.

Afterwards, France's Meaux anti-crime brigade intercepted an online car-hailing vehicle and arrested two suspects armed with simulated guns, harnesses, and headgear. After investigation, they were all minors born between 2009 and 2010. According to statistics from the French National Judicial Police, France has recorded 41 attempted crypto-related kidnappings this year, accounting for about 80% of similar cases in Europe. The authorities have classified them as a national security crisis and called on Web3 public figures to reduce online exposure to protect the safety of their families.
