Comparatively, US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel announced on Tuesday that the FBI had successfully thwarted a coordinated terrorist attack plot against the White House. The plot was originally scheduled to be carried out on the South Lawn of the White House during Trump's 80th birthday celebration and the UFC Freedom 250 Fighting Tournament on June 14. About 4,300 people gathered at the scene, including 1,200 active military personnel.

According to reports, the plot was carried out in three stages: the first stage used drones loaded with explosives to cause large-scale chaos; the second stage used panic to trigger large-scale evacuation of crowds, leading escapees into a pre-set area, and a team of snipers waiting to fire; and the third stage took advantage of the chaos to raid the entrance gate of the White House.

The plot was uncovered in a timely manner, stemming from the initiative of a family member of the person involved in the case to issue an alarm to the authorities. The FBI then picked up threat leads on June 10 — four days before the incident — and tracked down an unofficial network operating through Signal's encrypted messaging software. A total of 23 people have been confirmed to be involved in this network case, and the 5 suspects have been apprehended in Ohio, Missouri, and California, respectively.

US Secret Service Director Sean Culan said that the Secret Service is investigating all those involved in the case day and night. Trump himself told reporters while attending the G7 summit in France on Tuesday that he has yet to receive an official briefing on this thwarted plot.
