The post-95 guy used AI to write small essays and earned 85,000 by frying soda ash and was fined 485,000
Comparative news, according to surveillance, the Sichuan Securities Regulatory Bureau punished individual investor Sun Zheyuan. He used AI to batch generate 17 fake articles on soda ash production and published them on Baidu Baijia Dikan. During the spread, he traded soda ash futures and made a profit of 8528.85 yuan after deducting handling fees. The supervisory authority confiscated all proceeds and fined 400,000 yuan, for a total of about 485,000 yuan. These 17 articles revolve around two pieces of fake news. Four claims that a soda ash company's boiler failed and the production line stopped for at least half a year; another 13 claimed that the Alashan earthquake caused damage to the factory. In total, the two articles were read 8,794 times a day after publication. Investors have sought evidence from listed companies, and others have reported to regulatory platforms. Sun Zheyuan argued that the article had no real impact, and that futures profits had nothing to do with fake news. He also claims that he has been mentally ill for a long time. The Sichuan Securities Regulatory Bureau rejected all of them, finding that their subjective intention was obvious, and failed to prove that they were unable to identify or control their own actions at the time of the incident. At the same time, the supervision made it clear that futures trading proceeds during the period of dissemination of false information can be directly recognized as illegal income.
