GnosisDAO launches governance vote on whether Gnosis App will be independently split

Comparatively, GnosisDAO is initiating a governance proposal GIP-152 on whether to split the Gnosis App into an independent company led by the original team. The proposal is live in Snapshot, and voting ends on August 12 at 14:19 (UTC), and the number of legal votes required for entry into force is 75,000. Currently, community members can vote on whether to support separating the Gnosis App from the GnosisDAO system through Snapshot.

The page shows the plan: GnosisDAO invests 1.5 million dollars in cash and injects products and IP valued at 1 million dollars, and obtained at least 25% of the shares under a 10 million dollar post-investment valuation through SAFE, while Gnosis App is completely divested from Gnosis Ltd's annual budget of 3.1 million dollars. The new company will focus on the self-hosted payment and card business with the Circles agreement as the core. The 18-month capital will mainly be used for teams, compliance operations and customer acquisition, and will continue to drive on-chain and payment network usage through Gnosis Pay and Gnosis Chain. According to the current snapshot voting results, about 66% of the votes were in favor.
