Oracle plans to lay off more employees. 21,000 people have already been laid off this year
Comparatively, Oracle has drawn up a new round of layoffs to reduce payroll expenses as the company is accumulating billions of dollars in debt to fund AI infrastructure. Oracle cut 21,000 full-time jobs earlier this year.
According to internal documents, the layoff rate for some teams may reach double digits. People familiar with the matter said that the company has asked management to submit a list of affected employees, with the goal of completing salary cuts before the start of the second fiscal quarter on September 1.
Oracle is not commenting on this.
