Upbit warns of SAND transaction risks: suspected cybersecurity incident, reminding users to trade with caution
Comparing news, Upbit issued an announcement stating that it has discovered signs of suspected security issues on The Sandbox (SAND) network, so users are reminded to be aware of transaction risks.
Upbit said that due to the suspected security incident on the SAND network in 2026, the market may experience increased price fluctuations as a result. The exchange advises users holding SAND assets to pay close attention to relevant developments and conduct trading operations with caution. Currently, Upbit has not disclosed the details of the attack or the scale of the loss; it only provides relevant on-chain transaction addresses for users to inquire.
Earlier today, The Sandbox's native token SAND on the Base network is suspected to have experienced a serious security breach. Attackers have obtained permission to mint tokens and can arbitrarily issue additional SAND tokens.
