Bitcoin's hard fork chain BIP-110 has identified BLAKE2b as a new POW algorithm that can be mined using normal CPU/GPU
Comparing news, Luke Dashjr has used random methods to determine that BLAKE2b will be the new POW algorithm for the BIP-110 chain, looking forward to the SHA-256d algorithm currently used by Bitcoin. Compared with SHA-256d, Blake2b is more suitable for mining using a general-purpose CPU/GPU, and is more CPU-friendly, which can reduce the advantages of existing Bitcoin ASIC miners.
According to previous news, Luke Dashjr plans to officially implement the BIP-110 hard fork on September 1, making it an independent blockchain and creating a new token different from Bitcoin. Luke Dashjr has been revoked from the Bitcoin BIP editorial team.
