Japan's Financial Services Agency selects a person in charge of the newly established crypto asset stablecoin division
According to the news, the Financial Services Agency of Japan announced personnel appointments. As part of the organizational restructuring, the agency established a new crypto asset and stablecoin department to be responsible for supervising crypto assets (virtual currency) and stablecoins. Toshiaki Adomi became the first section chief.
After graduating from Osaka University School of Law in 2002, Toshiaki Adomi joined the Financial Services Department. Since then, she has obtained a master's degree in business administration from Birmingham University in the UK and a master's degree in law from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She has held positions in bank supervision and policy coordination. Since July 2025, she has been a counselor for the supervision of postal savings insurance until August 1, 2026.
